Ayaan Hirsi Ali starts her article Silence of Moderates with an authentic verse from Qur'aan. "The woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication, flog each of them with 100 stripes: Let no compassion move you in their case, in a matter prescribed by Allah, if you believe in Allah and the Last Day." (Koran 24:2).

The above reference verse from Qur'aan and thirteen translations of the same verse are published in this column below and the article " Silence of Moderates, a rebuttal" will be held out until it is published in the news paper.

Ms. Ali has deliberately misled the public by excluding the verses that follow 24:2 making it impossible to mete that punishment. One is innocent until proven guilty.

The idea of publishing this is for us to understand that we cannot draw conclusions from one single statement, without referencing to the context and verses that precede and follow the quoted verse.

The punishment to flog and send people to electric chair sounds primitive and archaic. However, Crime and punishment forms the basis of heartless conservatism of nations and religions like killing the doctors who perform abortions, electric chair, incarcerating without charges etc. On the other hand, ultra liberals prefer rehabilitation without punishment, opening the flood doors and agree signal to the criminals.  There are merits in both approaches, but do not justify the ends. The middle path of moderates, who are a darned majority is to keep the punishment, but make it extra difficult for execution. That is also the Islamic way and is explored in the upcoming article "Silence of the moderates, a rebuttal".

Ms. Ayaan Hirsi Ali is supported by the Neocons who are bent on manufacturing an enemy and cashing on it. They are the societal parasites, look at their websites, after each article, they are asking for money, and there are enough suckers out there to keep their pockets loaded to do more of it. I wish they spend the same time, money and energy on promoting peace and reducing conflicts, every one would be better off. 

Ms. Hirsi Ali is a good fit for the Neocons, she makes it her business to write scary stuff that will give comfort even to the constipated men. She is branded as a Muslim reformer and she is not!  A reformer would focus in on working with the people and bringing about a gradual change.
