The Biggest thing, we the Desi Americans need to get over and get over fast is the “Ghar ki Murghi dal barabar” value system.  God has given extraordinary talent to these individuals and am proud that they are among us right here in Dallas/Forth Area.

I admire each and every one of the Artists listed below for the effort they make, but would certainly like to highlight a few,  whom I know personally and have always admired their skills.  Borrowing Dilip Kumar’s famous words used for Lata Mangeshkar, I would say Renu Chandra ji ki awaaz may Bhagwan nay saraswati ko bitha diya hai.

And I am impressed with Rizwan Sheikh’s Voice for the range and breadth he has mastered over the years. I have not seen any one get closer to K L Saigal, Mannadey, Kishore, Mukesh and Rafi than Rizwan.  Nasreen Reza was on top pop charts in Bangladesh and she has an impressive stage presence in both Ghazal gayiki and upbeat music, she also teaches music. Janice Miller has earned a name for herself singing Noor Jehan and Asha, her pronunciation of Urdu/Hindi and Punjabi words is simply awesome. There is Prem, who does Mukesh well. Sunder does justice to Talat Mahmood. Pervaz Mehendi has moved to Dallas and he is trained by the great master Mehdi Hassan and he is just phenomenal. Faisal Akhtar is a great entertainer so is Ahmed Jeddy.  Ambreen has just started singing and does it very well. My admiration will be incomplete if don't mention Rehan Ahmed, the key board player. There is no match for his talent in the entire United States of America. His range, skills and  creativity simply makes you admire him. He is that good! I always think of AR Rehman when I see Rehan, where will he be if he gets the same opportunities as AR?
