Everything you had always wanted to know about the
Subcontinentians you will find it on this link of the
www.MikeGhouse.net website. The Subcontinentians are also
known as South Asians (not Southeast Asian), or Desi
Americans (pronounced " They see") meaning the people of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri
Lanka and the
people of Indian Origin . This page is
central to this website for it makes an attempt to include everything
that is Desi American. It will be continuously modified and updated to

We are
proud of our heritage - a multi-faith, multi-cultural, multi-regional
and multi-linguistic society, where we have come to accept and respect
every which way people have come to worship the divine. For over 5000
years, India (Pre-1947) has been a beacon of pluralism and
continues to be an example to the world how diverse people can live
together in relative harmony. India has embraced Islam, Christianity,
Judaism, Baha’i and Zoroastrianism to include in the array of the
indigenous religions; Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism and Sikhism. We are
as big as Western Europe and have as many cultures contained in one
Subcontinent as one European continent.
Our freedom has paved the way to the freedom movement around the
world. Since 1947 every country has been liberated from colonialism.
Indian democracy is a shining example to the world, where the people
have peacefully transferred the political powers. Indians are
inherently secular and economically capitalistic. They believe in
"live-and-let-live", the real essence of capitalism.
The
daily Radio program "Wisdom of Religion, all the 9 beautiful religions
is broadcasted on AM RADIO 1150 between 6- 7 AM in North Texas. World
wide you can hear it on the internet www.RadioSuno.com. A website
www.FoundationforPluralism..com is in the making.
I am
proud of my heritage and am proud to have been born in India and proud
to have chosen to be an American.
